Gambier Island Project

A truly creative, off-grid build stretching from oceanfront to ridge top. We built every step—literally. This project evolved organically, guided by the client’s vision and immediate needs: an archery range, pickle ball court, mini barn, two outdoor kitchens, and countless decks and pathways. Built from durable yellow cedar, it’s low-maintenance and built to last. Designed in collaboration with the client, this island retreat is a world of its own—and a great example of the kind of imaginative, hands-on work we love at HLS.
