Mikalt - Recovery Centre

This commercial tenant improvement project transformed a neglected 80-year-old firehall in Powell River’s historic Townsite district into a warm and welcoming 12-bed drug and alcohol recovery centre. Working in collaboration with Leyland Architecture, our team rebuilt and modernized the interior while preserving the building’s character, creating functional spaces including residential rooms, a commercial kitchen, counselling areas, and group gathering rooms. The result is a clean, durable, and dignified environment that supports healing and provides an urgently needed service for the community.
